/ 03 · ORANGE COUNTY WILDFIRE CONTEXT

Maintained
in perpetuity.

The Orange County Fire Authority's Guideline C-05 sets a standard fuel modification zone of 170 feet from the structure, requires the zone to be maintained in perpetuity, and calls for maintenance in spring and fall.

That is a permanent obligation for the associations and owners who hold those zones. FlyCRE records each zone on a schedule, so boards, managers, and agencies can see what was done and when. We document. The fire authority and qualified professionals make the determinations.
